Reveal This gathers information on advances in content processing technology. There are new content processors that are able to semantically index, categorise and cross-link multiplatform, multimedia and multilingual digital content, providing the system user with search, retrieval, summarisation and translation functionalities. This progress shows no signs of stopping, and our aim is to keep people informed in this rapidly changing world.
With all these breakthroughs happeing, it is difficult to stay current with all that is being done in the world of digital content processing. Digital media assets are proliferating and many organizations, from large broadcasters to SMEs are building networks and technology to create the best aplications for these assets. The multi-media market for broadband media will, according to predictions, develop quicksly within the next 10 years. Traditional broadcasters, publishers and Internet content providers will converge into very similar roles as multimedia content providers. More Recently new cross-media players are also entering the market, with an aim to exploit all distribution channels and to reach personalized and fragmented audiences. In order to take advanatage of the many opportunities offered by the digital media market, content providers need to remain mobile and ready adapt to the changing invironment as well as apply new business models, content representations and CRMs.

The advancement of multilingual and multimedia content processing has been swift in the past decade. Reserches from all over the globe have taken up the task of creating new and inovative ways to retrieve media on the internet. One such atempt was the Reveal This IST Project which was a FP6 European Union member that provides users with many fuctions for multimedia content such as search, retrieval, categorization & translation functionalities for multimedia content. This index was made avaliable for many differnt platforms (cell phones, computers, etc.) and for many different languages. Their website can be viewed by clicking on the logo on the right. The Reveal This Project was quite a triumph, but is only one of thousands of multilingual and multimedia content processing projects being undertaken.
